Dear Amy,
I'm a 23-year-old girl from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I have recently accomplished some things in life that proved to me that it doesn't matter what your abilities or disabilities are, you always have to follow your dreams and there's always a chance that you will succeed. I'm in a wheelchair since I was thirteen and I have always lived my life the way it should be. Also because of the people I'm surrounded with. To celebrate this I'm going to make a trip to Hawai'i with my family and friends. I know this is that point in my life that I will always remember as the best days of my life. I've been getting stars tattooed every time I had accomplished little things, I have three of them now. I promised myself that there will be a time to get a tattoo that joins them together and make them into one bigger piece. As I said I'm now 23, I'm graduating on a graphic design school and got accepted at an art school that's difficult to get in. I live on my own and I have a lot of great friends and family who are really dear to me. These are things that don't come easy in life and I know that there are a lot of people out there, both handicapped and 'healthy' people, that aren't as lucky as I am.
I've been saving for years now and I think the time has come to work on that bigger piece tattoo. And I don't think there's a better place to do it than on Hawaii. I've been searching for a good and trustworthy tattooshop and I've been looking through some tattoo portfolio's and I just feel like you're the best artist for this job. I was amazed by the beautiful flower backpiece in your picture gallery!
I really hope that you will help me and that you have the time to do this. I'll be in Honolulu for a week at the end of july. If you're okay with this all, I can send you pictures of my tattoo and inspiration pictures of what the design could look like?
It's nice to put this story out!
I hope i'll hear from you and thank you for reading this,
Julie
Ps. I hope my English is ok!
Mijn verhaal is de deur uit. Ik hoop dat ook deze droom werkelijkheid wordt. Maar zo niet, dan is het niet erg want het wordt toch al een droomreis.
