Your ride

Phew, ok, quick, full day at work then home to sit around. Got a small amount of work done. The next 7 school days are busy: monday, consulting presentation, bang. Friday, systems presentation, bang. Monday, VB final project due, bang. Then it's quiet time.

Last night I watched Twilight and tonight I watched New Moon. Not impressed. Bored. Refilled my drink and gave the dog a haircut while the movie played in the background. Only one view of vampire daily life has ever cut it for me, and it doesn't involve romance or adventure. Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, "In the Forests of the Night"; none of her follow-up books even do it for me. I haven't reread the book in about 5 years, so it's probably not very good anymore, either. It's a "young adult" novel.

Anyway, whatever, pthbbx.

Okeeee, grote verwaarlozing van mijn kant. Maar ik lees jullie allemaal nog steeds met evenveel aandacht!

Nu de hectiek iets meer is gaan liggen in mijn leven kan ik jullie mededelen dat het onwijs goed gaat!
Mijn stage in Deventer is echt superleuk, ik ben helemaal enthousiast! (Ondanks de reistijd;p) School is (zoals altijd natuurlijk) minder leuk, maar dat is toch maar één dag in de week ;)

Daarnaast hebben we een huis (JAAAAAAAAAAA:D) en dat is ook meteen de reden van verwaarlozing, want daar zijn we de afgelopen maand ontzettend druk mee geweest!

( En nu is het helemaal af! :D )

Oh ja, en in maart ga ik samen met mama naar mijn zus en haar (tegen die tijd) man! :D 13 uur vliegen naar Shanghai, lange vlucht maar ik heb er nu al zin in :D

Whoa, I spent about 4 hours or so (from 1 o'clock til now, with numerous breaks) working on my VB project and finally, pathetically emailed my professor begging for help. Fortunately, the project will work the way its set up. It isn't riddled with errors, just not matching up with what I had planned. List boxes do not like text boxes. Or something.

So, tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I don't care about Thanksgiving. The only food of the feast I usually like is turkey and such celebrations rarely include people beyond my tight, nuclear family, so it's really no big deal and a dud of a holiday as far as I'm concerned. However, I am invited to a meal w/ Michael's family (I think) so I am indeed observing the holiday.

And Thanksgiving means 3 days away from school!!!!

Which is why I was able to concentrate on my project for so long.

I told Mike I wanted a sleepover, and a sleepover I got. I brought pizza, he had Angels & Demons, there was a hot tub, and a porn movie based off Bewitched. I was ready to sleep by 11:30pm. He was on weekend mode, so I spent 2 hour half-dozing on the couch while watching him kill and watching the TV do something. My early-rising sleep schedule is damaged, but it is vacation after all (that is, until Friday, when the work-weekend begins at 7:00am).

In the morning, we went to Ihop then left in a huff because Ihop sucks. I scared him with an edgy traffic maneuver then successfully got us some proper breakfast.

Then came home and got some work done. As frustrating as VB is, it's my favorite homework. Practicing for a group consulting presentation and unclear paperwork for my systems class much more binding and dull. I don't wanna write a user guide for a fucking website. :(


I always feel like I simply update this journal with, "This is what I did, this is why I liked it/didn't like it." It's so boring but it must be documented.

This is unusual, I have maybe bitten off more than I can chew with my VB final project, but I don't want to change my plan submit a greatly-changed proposal, because that's admitting defeat. But the more I go in for help, the worse I look, and the better my project should do.

What to do! I should give up and go easy and just send off changes to my proposal.

omg my prop managers are sooo interested in my apartment this week. My cracked window is fixed!

it's almost bedtime!

All I look forward to is bed time so I can snooze away some of this school pressure without realizing I'm wasting time.
